🏯 Kibitsu Shrine – A Mythical Space with a 360-Meter Long Corridor
This shrine is the Ichinomiya of Bitchu Province, dedicated to the deity Kibitsuhiko-no-Mikoto. Its unique architectural style, known as "Kibitsu-zukuri," is highly distinctive. The shrine also features the "Narikama Shinto Ritual," where fortunes are divined through the sound of boiling water. Walking through the long corridor feels like stepping into a painting where history and legends intertwine.
⛩ Kibitsuhiko Shrine – The Hometown of Momotaro
It is said that Kibitsuhiko-no-Mikoto is the prototype of Momotaro. The shrine offers peach-shaped votive plaques and Momotaro-themed fortune slips. Even the parking lot is adorned with statues of Momotaro and his three companions, adding a playful touch to the visit.
🚉 Convenient Transportation and Highly Recommended Combined Visit
The two shrines are located close to each other and can be easily connected by taking one stop on the Kibi Line (Momotaro Line) or walking. It's perfect for planning a half-day trip.
