Osaka - Revisiting KAIYUKAN after 10 years

If I came to Osaka alone, I probably wouldn't revisit Kaiyukan. But this time I came with two middle school students, and they really like penguins, sea lions and seals, so I revisited the place. In the hot summer, the air-conditioned Kaiyukan is actually a good itinerary.

There was not much difference between the things in Kaiyukan ten years ago and now. My two nieces had a blast at the Aquarium and spent a lot of time watching the sea lions and seals at the Monterey Bay exhibit.

My favorite fish to watch is the Mola mola sunfish. The first time I got to know it was when I visited the Aquarium Kaiyukan for the first time ten years ago.

Warm reminder: There are two gift shops in the CNOOC Museum. After viewing the exhibition, you will see the gift shop at the exit, but it is very small. My nieces couldn't pick out the gifts they liked in this gift shop, so I told them to learn to give up and not buy just for the sake of buying. In the end, they bought gifts they didn't like and went home. As a result, when they walked down one floor and were about to leave, they saw a large gift shop. They excitedly ran in and spent half an hour shopping, and returned home with a lot of gifts.

If time permits and you have purchased an Osaka Amazing Pass, you can go outside and take a free ride on the Tempozan Ferris Wheel.
