Jieli Peak is located in the Tianmu Mountain Range in Lin'an City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the core peaks of the "Seven Peaks of Western Zhejiang" hiking route (the Seven Peaks refers to the seven iconic peaks in the Tianmu Mountain Range, including Xianren Peak, Longwang Mountain, Yaowang Peak, etc.), with an altitude of 1,482 meters.
Its name comes from the large number of "joint rocks" distributed along the ridge line - natural cracks in the geological structure formed by the stress on the rocks, which look like they were cut by a knife or an axe, and are extremely visually impactful.
This is not only an advanced challenge for outdoor hiking enthusiasts, but also a perfect combination of geology and natural landscape: the ridgeline offers a wide view, with dead branches standing in rows. In autumn and winter, the forest is full of colors, while in spring and summer, it is lush and green. It is a rare alpine hiking route in East China that combines wildness and grandeur.
The subtropical monsoon climate makes travel year-round suitable, but winter is the best time to see rime.
