This shrine is located in a corner of Namba Parks, on the site of Osaka Baseball Stadium, which was the home field of the Nankai Hawks. It was built in 1950.
It seems that this place was the location of Namba Okura until the end of the Edo period. Namba Okura is a rice storehouse directly under the control of the Edo Shogunate that was established during the Great Kyoho Famine in 1732, and is a historic place that was used for disaster relief.
