Who understands, family! I actually got a head start on spring at Shitennoji Temple in Osaka. Most cherry blossoms in Osaka are still asleep, but on March 15th, I encountered the brilliant early cherry blossoms here.
As soon as I stepped into the temple, two fully bloomed cherry trees immediately caught my eye. The pink and white petals fluttered gracefully among the thousand-year-old temple, draping Shitennoji in a dreamy veil. The nearby five-story pagoda stood solemnly, its shadow intertwining with the shadows of the flowers, as if quietly telling ancient stories. A gentle breeze blew, scattering petals that fell on the steps and by the pond, full of poetry and romance 💕
Under the cherry tree in front of the Golden Hall, worshippers sincerely clasped their hands in prayer. The chanting of Buddhist scriptures mingled with the fragrance of flowers, making it feel like being in a pure land on earth, cleansing and purifying the soul. When the sun set, the evening glow cast a warm light on the cherry blossoms. The ancient temple, the blooming flowers, and the afterglow together formed a breathtakingly beautiful scene that instantly captivates anyone who sees it.
A little reminder to friends: cherry blossoms in Osaka have not yet fully bloomed on a large scale; only some scattered early cherry blossom varieties are open. If you plan to enjoy the cherry blossoms, don’t miss out! Take advantage of the fewer crowds and beautiful scenery now, and come to Shitennoji Temple to experience this gentle springtime in advance~
