🫀Personal Thoughts
It was a slightly cool spring day, the sky a bit overcast but not gloomy, adding a touch of tranquility. I originally planned just to see the castle keep at Osaka Castle, but unexpectedly, it was the season when the plum blossoms were in full bloom—a complete surprise.
Exiting Morinomiya Station and walking along the park’s paths, the gentle breeze and faint floral scent accompanied me all the way. The grandeur of Osaka Castle itself is still very impressive, especially when approaching the main keep, where you can truly feel the weight of history. But even more than the magnificent castle tower, the blooming plum blossoms made me linger longer. White, pink, and even reddish plum blossoms bloomed intertwined, and with not many tourists around, it was peaceful to quietly take photos or sit on a bench and daydream.
An elderly couple sat chatting in the plum grove; I couldn’t catch their words, but the scene somehow felt warm and comforting. I think that’s the charm of spring—unassuming yet reassuring.
Before leaving, I bought a limited-edition plum-flavored Japanese sweet at a small shop beside the main keep. The sweet and sour taste seemed to seal today’s memories on my tongue.
This wasn’t my first visit to Osaka Castle, but each season brings a completely different feeling. This time, accompanied by the plum blossoms, it felt like a soft filter was added, blending history and nature quietly to leave a springtime moment behind.
