Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden is located in the Xinglong Overseas Chinese Tourism Economic Zone in Hainan. It was founded in 1957 and is affiliated to the Spice and Beverage Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, Ministry of Agriculture. It is the earliest tropical botanical garden in Hainan open to the public.


Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden covers 600 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) and features over 2,300 plant species divided into six exhibition areas.
