
Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden is located in the Xinglong Overseas Chinese Tourism Economic Zone in Hainan. It was founded in 1957 and is affiliated to the Spice and Beverage Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, Ministry of Agriculture. It is the earliest tropical botanical garden in Hainan open to the public.
Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden covers 600 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) and features over 2,300 plant species divided into six exhibition areas. With its diverse flora, entering the garden is like opening an encyclopedia of tropical plants. The garden's beautiful setting, with lush greenery, subtle fruity aromas, and the refreshing Hainan air, makes for a pleasant stroll. At the park's rest and reception area, guests can enjoy complimentary Xinglong coffee, cocoa beverages, and a variety of teas, including bitter melon tea and glutinous rice tea.
