Osaka

Review of traveling in Japan, Osaka —
The city of brightness, deliciousness, delight, and irresistible cuteness!

Hello everyone! Today Boom will take you to Osaka,
a city full of liveliness, charm, and warmth,
like meeting an old friend who welcomes us with smiles and a table full of delicious food. Alright! Get ready and excited to go with Boom~

Day 1: Arrive and head straight to Dotonbori — dazzling lights, sounds, and ultimate deliciousness

After landing at Kansai Airport, we quickly jumped on the JR train
to Osaka city without delay. Our first destination was the
Dotonbori area, a hub of fun and spicy delicious food.

Walking out of the train station, we saw the Glico sign waving its arm to greet us cutely. It was very exciting. The atmosphere in Dotonbori is full of neon lights along the street, with so many shops it’s hard to choose. Boom started with the famous local dish, Takoyaki — round balls, crispy outside, soft inside, filled with squid,
topped with special sauce, mayonnaise, seaweed,
and sprinkled with white sesame seeds. Mmm~ so delicious!

Not far away, Boom also tried Okonomiyaki — batter mixed with vegetables and meat, topped with sweet fragrant sauce and mayonnaise for extra richness. These two dishes were so good that we queued up to eat several more plates.

While strolling, Boom found a cute Japanese mochi shop with pastel colors
and sakura flower shapes, full of adorable souvenirs to choose from. The staff were very friendly and smiling, creating a very warm feeling.

Day 2: Kuromon Market and Shinsaibashi — shop, taste, chill

This morning we started at Kuromon Market, well known as “Osaka’s kitchen.” Here, there are fresh seafood, colorful fruits and vegetables, and very fresh seafood.

Boom tried small fresh sushi bites — soft salmon that melts in your mouth, crispy sweet shrimp grilled to a tempting aroma, and many other dishes that made us feel like we were eating fresh seafood straight from Japan.

Then we went to Shinsaibashi, a bustling shopping district full of famous brand stores and cute souvenir shops selling dolls, mochi,
and Japanese cosmetics that made Boom’s heart melt.

While walking, we stopped at a cute café serving hot green tea
with Japanese sweets. The comfortable seating was perfect for a relaxing recharge.

Day 3: Universal Studios Japan — paradise for movie lovers and ultimate fun

Today was the most exciting day for Boom because we went to Universal Studios Japan (USJ), a world-famous movie-themed amusement park.

We started at the Harry Potter zone, which felt like stepping into a real magical world. Hogsmeade village was beautiful. We tried the sweet and fragrant Butterbeer with soft foam and rode the Flying Hippogriff ride, which was so fun we couldn’t stop screaming.

There was also the Mario Kart zone where we raced with favorite cartoon characters and took photos with Mario in his adorable outfit. Boom also tried Minion-shaped popcorn, so cute we didn’t dare to eat it. Haha!

Day 4: Osaka Castle and the cutest cat café

Today we experienced authentic Japanese culture at Osaka Castle,
an ancient castle with a long history. Boom walked around the beautiful garden,
surrounded by colorful trees, especially during the autumn foliage season.

We went up to the castle’s top to see a panoramic view of Osaka city stretching as far as the eye can see. Boom took lots of photos here — photography lovers will definitely love it.

After that, we stopped by Nakazakicho, an artsy neighborhood with small cafés. Boom chose to relax at a super cute cat café where soft-furred cats walked around friendly with customers. Sipping green tea there felt just like being at home.

Day 5: Tenjinbashi Market and a stroll before heading home

On the last day, we strolled through Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai,
the longest shopping street in Japan. The atmosphere was warm and there were many shops.

Boom tried crispy Japanese fried snacks, bought authentic green tea, and cute souvenirs to take home. It felt like truly experiencing the lifestyle of Osaka people.

Before the flight home, Boom sat by the Osaka river sipping coffee,
reflecting on the happiness of this trip, feeling full of wonderful memories
that we want to keep forever.

Summary of impressions

Osaka is a very charming city, full of fun, delicious food, authentic Japanese culture, and warm, lovely people. Everywhere we went left Boom deeply impressed.

This trip made Boom love Japan even more and want to come back many times. For anyone planning a trip to Japan,
don’t forget to stop by Osaka. We guarantee you will fall in love just like Boom!
