Review of traveling in Osaka, Japan
The city of smiles, delicious food, and overflowing cuteness 💖✨
Hello everyone! Today, Boom will take you on a trip to Osaka!
I must say, Osaka is a city that combines fun, cuteness,
and rich Japanese culture all in one place. It’s perfect for everyone, whether you’re a foodie, a shopper, or a temple explorer.
Today, Boom will share an experience full of smiles,
warmth, and delicious food that everyone will surely fall in love with 💕

Arriving in Osaka: Kansai Airport + Train to the city center
When I arrived at Kansai Airport, I was very excited because the airport is beautiful
and the transportation is super convenient. There’s the JR Kansai Airport Rapid Service train that runs directly to the heart of Osaka, like Namba or Umeda, very easily. I chose to stay in Namba
because it’s a lively area, close to many shopping and dining spots.
Just a few steps and you’ll find plenty of delicious food everywhere.
⸻
Day 1: Explore “Dotonbori,” the street of lights and food 🎉
After unpacking, I quickly went out to stroll around Dotonbori. This is the most famous food and shopping district in Osaka, with the iconic neon sign “Glico Man” that you must take a photo with!
Walking around, I caught the aroma of takoyaki, which Osaka locals are very proud of. These round balls are crispy on the outside, soft inside, filled with big pieces of squid, topped with sweet sauce and mayonnaise. Eating while smiling, every bite felt like pure happiness. There’s also okonomiyaki (vegetable and meat pancake),
which feels like a warm hug from food.
While walking, I also found cute mochi sweets, cold ice cream,
and drink shops decorated like adorable cafes. Honestly, you could walk here all day and never get bored.
⸻
Day 2: Have a blast at Universal Studios Japan 🎢
On the second day, I treated myself to a fun day at Universal Studios Japan (USJ), a theme park loved by all ages! Starting at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, this zone really feels like stepping into a magical world. I strolled through Hogsmeade village and sipped on the sweet, cold Butterbeer,
which is so unique.
Then I rode the Mario Kart attraction at Super Nintendo World, a virtual ride that makes you feel like you’re racing in the game itself.
It was so much fun! There are many other rides too, like Jurassic Park, Minions, and more, all full of excitement.
After a full day of fun, I returned to my accommodation feeling exhausted but filled with smiles.
⸻
Day 3: Chill shopping at “Shinsaibashi” and taste cute sweets 🍰🛍️
Today, I went to Shinsaibashi, a trendy shopping district full of various stores, from brand names to small shops selling authentic cute Japanese items.
I loved browsing cute souvenirs like mochi, daifuku, and fluffy soufflé cakes,
so good that I had to buy some as gifts for my friends back home. They tasted so good and looked so cute that I almost didn’t want to eat them.
While walking around, I stopped at a small, cute cafe decorated in pastel tones,
with animal-shaped latte art and sweet cakes that were absolutely delightful.
⸻
Day 4: One-day trip to Kyoto 🌸
Osaka is very close to Kyoto, so I decided to take a one-day trip to experience the classic cultural city atmosphere.
I started at Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine,
where the red torii gates stretch up the mountain. The atmosphere felt like stepping into a fairy tale. Walking along the torii gates all the way to the top, I experienced peace and beautiful views of Kyoto.
Next, I strolled through the Gion district, where geishas or maikos in kimono walk by. The retro and charming atmosphere was amazing.
⸻
Day 5: Feast at “Kuromon Ichiba” Market 🦐🍣
Back in Osaka, I visited Kuromon Ichiba Market,
a fresh market famous for fresh seafood and many delicious foods.
I tasted grilled scallops, big and full of flavor, crispy tempura shrimp, fresh sushi,
sweet and crunchy, so delicious I had to share. Seafood lovers should not miss this!
⸻
Last day: Relaxed stroll at Namba Parks and souvenir shopping at Don Quijote 🎁✨
Before leaving, I took a walk at Namba Parks, a chic shopping mall with a beautiful rooftop garden and a very relaxing atmosphere.
Then I shopped for souvenirs at Don Quijote, a 24-hour store
with a huge variety of snacks, cosmetics, daily goods, and adorable souvenirs that will melt anyone’s heart.
⸻
Little tips for the best Osaka trip 💡
• Buy an ICOCA or Suica card for easy train and bus rides.
• Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll walk a lot.
• Download navigation and translation apps—they help a lot.
• Bring a reusable bag because Japan doesn’t give out free bags.
• You must try takoyaki and okonomiyaki—they’re really delicious.
⸻
Summary of impressions 💕
Osaka is a warm, vibrant city full of fun.
I loved every place I visited, every dish I ate, and every smile I encountered.
This city is perfect for anyone who wants a fun trip, delicious food, and to truly absorb Japanese culture.
If you’re thinking about traveling to Japan,
make sure Osaka is on your list. I guarantee you’ll have an amazing time! 💙🍣🎉
