Hello everyone! Today, I’m sharing my first-ever experience traveling to Japan, specifically to Osaka—a city full of fun, delicious food, endless shopping, and exciting walks. Let me tell you, the 5 days and 4 nights I spent here were absolutely heart-melting! If you’re planning a trip to Japan, you’ve got to read this review. ☺️
🛬 Day 1: Arriving in Osaka, yay~
We took a late-night flight from Thailand and landed at Kansai Airport (KIX) in the morning. The cool 14°C weather was refreshing, though it made my hands tremble with excitement! After clearing immigration, we quickly picked up our JR Pass and IC Card (MoMo the bear tagged along 🐻) and hopped on a train to the city. We dropped off our luggage at a hotel in the bustling Namba area.
💡 Our hotel was super cute, with a minimalist Japanese style. The bed was as soft as mochi 🍥, and it was conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the city center.
🌉 Day 2: Exploring Osaka’s Landmarks
We started the day at Osaka Castle, which looked like it came straight out of an anime! Inside, there’s a museum that tells the history of Japan in an engaging way—history buffs will love it.
Next, we visited the Umeda Sky Building. The evening view from the top floor was breathtaking! You get a panoramic view of Osaka, and the romantic atmosphere is perfect for couples (though I don’t have one T^T, so I took selfies with the view instead, haha).
🍜 We ended the day with ramen at a famous restaurant in Namba. The broth was so rich and flavorful that I couldn’t help but say, “Gochisousama!” (It means ‘Thank you for the delicious meal’ in Japanese 😋).
🎢 Day 3: Universal Studios Japan Adventure~
The highlight of this trip was visiting Universal Studios Japan (USJ)! Just stepping into the Harry Potter zone made me go “Wow!” The Hogwarts castle was absolutely stunning. Make sure to buy tickets and an Express Pass in advance to enjoy multiple rides without long waits.
My favorite ride was The Flying Dinosaur (I screamed so much I lost my voice, haha). The new Mario zone was super cute—you wear a wristband and hit blocks like in the game. It was so much fun, I didn’t want to leave!
In the evening, there was a parade. I took tons of photos with Minions, Hello Kitty, and Snoopy—my memory card was completely full!
🧸 Day 4: Shopping Spree + Cute Cafes
Today was a chill day dedicated to shopping in Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. These areas are packed with clothing stores, cosmetics, snacks, and souvenirs. I walked until my legs were sore but couldn’t stop shopping, haha.
I also visited themed cafes like cat cafes, dog cafes, and bear cafes! Japan has so many adorable cafes where you can take cute photos and enjoy sweet treats—it’s pure bliss.
Of course, I didn’t miss taking a photo with the iconic Glico sign in Osaka. I even mimicked the running pose from the sign and posted it on Instagram 📸✨.
🥹 Day 5: Is it really the last day?
I woke up feeling nostalgic as I packed my bags. Time flew by so quickly, but this trip was filled with happiness, cuteness, and the warm charm of Japan.
Before heading to the airport, I stopped by a convenience store to grab some small souvenirs. On the train ride back, I kept thinking, “When will I get to come back again?”
