6 Days, 6 Cities, and One Pair of Tired Feet: My Japan Journey

Back from 6 days in Japan and let’s just say: I walked more than a lost GPS. Here’s the full drama:

🛬 Day 1 – Touchdown in Osaka
Arrived at Kansai International Airport at night and made the executive decision to sleep there. Why? Because hotels are expensive and I’m built different (a.k.a. broke).

🏃 Day 2 – Osaka Olympics (Unofficial)
Decided to explore ALL of Osaka in one day. Big mistake. Huge.
📸 Osaka Castle – Gorgeous!
🏘️ Osaka Museum House of Living– time travelled~
🐟 Aquarium – Fish living better lives than me.
🌇 Umeda Sky Building – Vertigo but make it aesthetic.
🚢 Osaka Bay Cruise - Took a chill Santa Maria Cruise.
🎡 Shinsekai + Tennoji Park – Weirdly calming.
🌃 Dotonbori – Food. Lights. Chaos. Fell in love with a takoyaki stand.

🚄 Day 3 – Kyoto Day Trip
Took a train to Kyoto and walked so much my feet filed a complaint.
🎍 Arashiyama Bamboo Forest – Zen until tourists walked into my photos.
👘 Kimono Forest – Didn’t wear a kimono, still slayed.
🍖 Lunch at Halal Yakiniku Naritaya (if im not mistaken)– a small Japanese restaurant. Got praying room also!
🏮 Sanneizaka & Ninenzaka – nice view with gently sloping lines of traditional shophouses.

🦌 Day 4 – Nara: Where Deers Run the City
Met the citizens of Nara (aka deers).
Fed the famous Nara deers and instantly became their snack delivery person.
One bowed politely, then chased me for more crackers.
Ate the famous mochi and now I’m emotionally attached. I need more. Send help (and mochi).

🏯Day 5 – Himeji & Kobe
Explored Himeji Castle – this white castle are so beautiful I almost forgot it’s older than my whole ancestry.

Then off to Kobe, visited Japan’s oldest mosque – calm, peaceful, beautiful.
Lunch at a halal restaurant nearby. Verdict: life-changing. Michelin stars in my heart.

😢 Day 6 – Bye Japan!
Last-minute panic shopping in Dotonbori 🛍️
Final round of takoyaki like a dramatic K-drama goodbye 🎭
Then off to Kansai Airport to cry softly into my boarding pass.
