Review of traveling in Osaka, the city of smiles and mouthwatering delights

Osaka… a city full of vibrancy, color, and the warmth of its people. It’s a city I fell in love with from the very first step I took here. Every corner holds charming stories waiting for us to discover.

In this trip, I will take you to experience the cuteness of Osaka through delicious food, fantastic tourist spots, and an atmosphere that makes your heart swell with joy.

Arriving in Osaka… Welcome to the warmest city

The moment I arrived at Kansai Airport, the cleanliness and orderly management impressed me greatly. The modern and easy-to-use public transportation system made traveling into the heart of Osaka hassle-free.

I used an ICOCA card to tap and board the train into the city comfortably, along with the excitement to start an adventure in this warm city.

Dotonbori, the district of fun and delicious food

Dotonbori is a must-visit area for anyone coming to Osaka. It’s full of lights, sounds, and lively energy all day long. The Glico Man neon sign is a symbol everyone must take a photo with to keep as a memory.

Here, there are plenty of delicious foods, especially the hot, round “Takoyaki” balls filled with fresh squid. The outside is slightly crispy, topped with a secret sauce and mayonnaise, with the fragrant scent of flying dried fish flakes—a flavor you can’t stop eating.

“Okonomiyaki,” or Japanese pizza, is another favorite dish. Soft batter mixed with cabbage, pork, or seafood, drizzled with a sweet and savory sauce that perfectly complements it.

Walking through the small alleys, you’ll find fresh sushi shops that are warm and adorable, making you feel like you’re eating at a friend’s home.

Universal Studios Japan, a magical amusement park for all ages

USJ is a land full of dreams and fun. The Harry Potter zone feels like stepping into a real magical world. Hogwarts Castle is beautiful, and Hogsmeade Village is detailed and complete.

Minion Park is colorful and full of cuteness, while Super Nintendo World feels like playing a real game, with thrilling rides and fun activities all day long.

Although there are some queues, the fun is truly worth the wait.

Enjoy shopping at Shinsaibashi and Tenjinbashi-suji

Shinsaibashi and Tenjinbashi-suji streets are the longest and busiest shopping streets in Japan. Here, you’ll find trendy fashion stores, cute cafes, and lots of adorable souvenirs to choose from.

I love strolling around picking out cute stationery, sweet-patterned notebooks, and fashion clothes that suit every style.

The warm and friendly atmosphere makes shopping so enjoyable that you lose track of time.

Cute themed cafes and melt-in-your-mouth desserts

Osaka is full of cute themed cafes, from cat cafes to dessert cafes, and fragrant matcha green tea spots.

Sipping hot green tea with beautifully crafted parfaits that look like works of art makes you feel like you’re relaxing at a friend’s home who loves cuteness and sweets.

Osaka Castle, a symbol of history and nature

Osaka Castle is a must-visit viewpoint with beautiful architecture and a shady surrounding garden.

Stroll through the garden and take photos in the peaceful atmosphere, especially during cherry blossom season or the stunning autumn foliage that looks like a painting.

Kuromon Market, delicious food in a homely atmosphere

Kuromon Market is full of fresh seafood, including grilled scallops, fresh salmon, and many snacks.

Walking and tasting food in the lively and friendly atmosphere feels like strolling through a friend’s home filled with delicious treats.

City views from Umeda Sky Building

Umeda Sky Building has a 360-degree observation deck offering beautiful views of Osaka, especially at night when the lights sparkle like stars.

Walking on the sky bridge with cool breezes is a very impressive experience.

Easy and convenient transportation

Getting around Osaka with an ICOCA card is very easy. Just tap the card to board the train, with clear English signs and helpful staff, so there’s no worry about getting lost.

Warm friendships from the people of Osaka

Osaka people are lovely and friendly. Even if their English isn’t fluent, everyone tries to help with smiles and kindness.

It feels like making new friends abroad who are always ready to assist.

Must-have cute souvenirs

Don’t forget to buy unique-flavored KitKats, Japanese sweets, cartoon models, and cute stationery from Don Quijote or Loft.

These souvenirs are memories and love from Osaka that I want to keep forever.

Summary of impressions

Osaka is a city that fills the heart with happiness, fun, delicious food, and the smiles of its people.

This trip taught me that happiness isn’t far away; just love, warmth, and delicious food are enough to make your heart swell.

Osaka… my second home that I will love forever 💖🍡🏯
