Osaka | 2025 Osaka Expo Guide, Visit 17 Pavilions in 7 Hours!

Challenge the 2025 Osaka Expo, visit 17 pavilions in 7 hours!

2025 EXPO OSAKA
The most important goal of this Osaka trip was to attend the earliest first group at 9 AM. Luckily, I got tickets for the Gundam Pavilion and the TW Pavilion. I didn’t rush to book others and planned to casually explore the architecture.

But the 9 AM slot was amazing, and there were so few people. Basically, except for a few popular pavilions, there was hardly any waiting time. Why not take the chance to visit more?

From 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, I ended up visiting 17 pavilions. The weather was scorching hot, and I ran out of energy, so I couldn’t stay until evening.

The pavilions visited in order were:
01. Ireland
02. Malaysia
03. Qatar
04. UAE
05. Portugal
06. Azerbaijan
07. Earth at Night (Nighttime Earth)
08. Human Wild Life
09. Tech World
10. Australia
11. Indonesia
12. Gundam
13. Waraii Myraii
14. Spain
15. Germany
16. Chile
17. Cambodia

First, sharing the two pavilions I got tickets for in advance:

✓ TECH WORLD Pavilion

Tech World, abbreviated TW, basically showcases the core applications of IC technology. But since that’s a bit dry, they used sound and light effects to present it. Personally, I found it average, nothing particularly moving. Compared to the 2010 Sky Lantern Pavilion, that one was more impressive. The giveaway today was a canvas bag, which was pretty nice.

✓ GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION

Bandai really went all out, not only bringing a giant Gundam but also creating an immersive animation that makes you feel like you’re inside a space base. This is basically a paid-level interactive exhibition experience. Inside the space capsule, I witnessed a 360-degree battle between Gundam and evil robots. Even if you’re not a hardcore fan, it’s thrilling to watch!

Other memorable pavilions:

✓ Portugal Pavilion:

Designed by Kengo Kuma, the Portugal Pavilion uses recycled fishing nets and hemp ropes to weave light and shadow into wave-like imagery, perfectly matching Portugal’s Age of Discovery history and marine environmental protection theme.

✓ Germany Pavilion

Upon entering, each visitor is given a cute little elf. By touching heads and loading information from the wall, you can transform it into a guide device. It’s cute and fun, though the sound is a bit quiet.

✓ Indonesia Pavilion

The atmosphere created by the staff is the strongest at the Indonesia Pavilion. The welcoming hostess at the entrance is basically a concert MC, excellent at energizing the crowd.

In summary, it’s perfect for spending a whole day walking through the grand Ozone House and enjoying the visually diverse pavilion architecture. It’s fantastic.
