Among the many pavilions at Expo 2025 Osaka, the Armenia Pavilion may not be the brightest star, but it quietly offers a profound dialogue of civilization through its unique historical culture and digital interpretation. The pavilion centers on "History and Culture" and "Innovation and Future," allowing visitors to fully understand this country at the crossroads of Europe and Asia—from ancient scripts, monasteries, music and dance, to technology and urban development.
🔍 Upon entering the pavilion, you are greeted by a large hanging fabric screen printed with "Armenia|アルメニア." The understated and minimalist design invites visitors to slow down and savor the experience. The pavilion features multiple interactive installations, the most eye-catching being a circular model projecting colorful images that showcase the essence of Armenian culture, as if saying, "Our colors are the hope for the future."
📜 On a nearby wall, the history of Armenia as the world’s first Christian nation is introduced, highlighting its unique alphabet, millennia-old monasteries, and a cityscape blending ancient and modern elements—presented thoughtfully in English, Japanese, and Armenian, making it both considerate and educational.
🗺️ A map model displays the local transportation network and town layouts, with light and shadow projection technology illuminating each city’s name, conveying Armenia’s determination to move toward "a more connected, more efficient future."
💡 Additionally, there is an interactive block installation simulating learning and innovation processes, showcasing their efforts and achievements in education and technology.
📸 Although the pavilion is not large, every detail is thoughtfully crafted. From cultural heritage to innovative thinking, each stop invites visitors to reflect deeply.
