About an eight-minute walk from JR Osaka Station or Fukushima Station, tucked away in a residential area, Nishi Umeda Lamp is a ramen specialty restaurant boasting a rich soup made with Kagoshima pork, thickly shaved tuna, and carefully selected soy sauce.

The owner, who has an Italian background, creates a bowl of ramen that is light yet packed with flavor. The interior, with its warm wooden interior and autographs of famous people, is popular with locals and tourists alike.

- Pork Soy Sauce Ramen 880 yen
Clear pork broth is layered with the delicious flavor of thickly shaved tuna flakes. The fragrant, sharp soy sauce and rich pork flavor are perfectly balanced.

- Pork Ginger Noodles 900 yen
Special noodles with the refreshing flavor of ginger and a rich sauce. The texture of the chunky pork slices is enjoyable, and adding rice doubles the satisfaction.

- Fried Gyoza 580 yen
The skin is crispy and fragrant, and the filling is juicy with a hint of garlic. A perfect match with ramen.

- Special Fried Chicken 550 yen
The special sauce, which uses red wine as a subtle flavor, is fragrant, and the outside is crispy and the inside is juicy. A dish you won't be able to stop eating.

The compact restaurant has 16 seats in total, with 6 counter seats and 10 tables. After ordering using the ticket machine, you can relax and enjoy your meal surrounded by wood-grain interior. Reservations are not accepted, so it can get crowded during lunch and dinner hours. Closures are announced on Instagram, so we recommend checking in advance.
