Namba Yasaka Shrine is a small Japanese shrine, but it's famous for its iconic giant lion head. 🦁✨ It's located near the Namba area, just a short walk away.
📍 Location
Located in Naniwa, Osaka, it's a 6-10 minute walk from Namba Station (Nankai Line/Osaka Metro).
⏰ Opening Hours
The shrine is open daily from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
🌟 Highlights
The Lion Head Stage (giant lion head) is approximately 12 meters high, with its open mouth forming a stage. It's believed that the lion head "swallows" bad things, making it a great photo opportunity.
The main building of the shrine honors the god of prosperity and learning.
✨ Tips
Go early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid crowds and get photos with the lion head in plain sight. The shrine isn't very large, so it takes about 15-30 minutes to explore the entire area.
