Osaka | Climb to the Top of Osaka | Harukas 300: Unparalleled Night View Tour

#September2025

On my last day in Osaka, I made a point of heading straight to the Abeno Harukas building next to Tennoji Station. This 300-meter-tall skyscraper, housing shopping, a hotel, and an art gallery, is a true urban microcosm. A mere 30-second elevator ride takes me from the ground to the 58th-floor Sky Garden. The cool breeze, mingling with the bustle of the city, makes my heart race. From here, the wondrous world of Harukas 300 Observatory unfolds.

The Sky Garden 300 Café on the 58th floor is the perfect spot for a break. I ordered the signature Abeno Bear drink. The adorable bear-shaped cup paired with a refreshing blueberry soda instantly soothed my shopping fatigue. Opening the glass door, I stepped onto the 59th-floor indoor corridor. Floor-to-ceiling tempered glass walls afforded an unobstructed 360-degree view of Osaka. During the day, the Kansai Plain unfolds like a toy model, the distant Ikoma Mountains gleaming in the sunlight. As dusk falls, the lingering glow of the setting sun casts a golden-orange hue on the buildings, creating a breathtaking scene reminiscent of an oil painting. Night falls, and the atmosphere reaches its climax! Countless lights illuminate the streets, the neon lights of Dotonbori and the Ferris wheel of Umeda create a galaxy of stars, a romance so romantic that it makes you forget time.

We especially recommend the 60th-floor "EDGE THE HARUKAS" skywalk experience. While it costs an additional 1,000 yen, the thrill and freedom of standing on a transparent platform and gazing down at the bustling traffic 300 meters below is well worth the price! The 59th-floor shopping area is filled with Abeno Bear goods, from rainy day dolls to limited-edition ice cream. I bought a few souvenirs and couldn't help but smile. The only downside is that it can be crowded during peak season, so we recommend visiting on weekdays at dusk to avoid the lines.

This HARUKAS 300 tour is not only a visual feast, but also a spiritual revelation. Gazing down at Osaka's bustling yet tranquil scene from above, I suddenly realized how vibrant the city's pulse truly is. I'll definitely return next time I'm in Osaka, bringing back even more stories to reminisce about.
