The fragrant tranquility of Hozenji Yokocho

This small temple is located in the heart of Hozenji Yokocho. A leisurely stroll through the area takes less than 10 minutes, and there are no particularly spectacular treasures. The surrounding area is lined with Dotonbori's various shops, both large and small, creating a lively hustle and bustle throughout the day and night. However, even amidst the hustle and bustle, the temple naturally evokes a distinct atmosphere, distinct from the commercial district, and visitors quietly worship. The temple grounds are small, so groups of around 10 people may feel a bit cramped. For this reason, we recommend visiting in small groups. As mentioned above, there are no particularly eye-catching features, but the temple's unique Mizukake Fudoson statue stands out. It's said that if you think about your wish and pour water on it, it will come true. The statue is now covered in moss, thanks to the many people who pour water on it. While pouring water on it isn't required, it's worth trying it for your everyday small wishes.
