[2024 Cherry Blossoms] A little-known cherry blossom spot at Osaka Castle Park

It looks like some kind of big launch button, or like a tiny UFO that appeared out of nowhere.
This object at the site of the Osaka Castle Honmaru is actually the head of a "time capsule."
Apparently, two capsules were buried 15 meters underground during the Osaka Expo held in 1970 with the theme of "Progress and Harmony of Mankind." It contains 2,098 cultural artifacts from the 20th century.
One is to be opened at the beginning of each century, and the other is to be opened in the year 6,970, 5,000 years after 1970. The first one was safely excavated in March 2000, and the performance of the buried home appliances was checked before it was buried again. The second one... well, it's a mind-bogglingly distant future. There is no one left who actually knows about the time of burial, so I am worried about whether the burial will be properly handed over lol
The reason why it was buried in the site of the Osaka Castle Honmaru was not because "Taiko-han (Hideyoshi) will be watching over it, so it's okay, but I don't know." It was decided because it is a stable geological layer and a special historic site, so it will not be affected by future urban development or unnecessary changes.
If you come to see Osaka Castle, be sure to take a commemorative photo here at the "Time Capsule EXPO'70".
(Drone photography of the park area is prohibited.)
