It is a national natural monument and a component asset of Mount Fuji.

There are 10 privately operated parking lots, each costing 300 yen.

The ponds are numbered 1 through 8 as sacred sites,
remaining traces of their history as pilgrimage sites.

Even today, people still visit them in numerical order.
The central spot, "Nakaike Pond," is a beautiful blue pond.
It's 7 meters deep and connected to Wakuike Pond.

Its incredible clarity reflects the entire landscape.
