Hokkaido travel movie Love Letter filming location Otaru Canal

The Otaru Canal is a landmark that you must visit in Otaru.
It is also a famous place that appeared in the movie Love Letter.
The long canal is said to be more beautiful in the evening when the gas lights are turned on. Many tourists enjoy a cruise on the canal. I regret not being able to stay in Otaru until the evening and not seeing the shining canal.

It is close to JR Otaru Station and is connected to Tanukikoji Alley across the street,
and Sakaimachi-dori, a quiet street that connects to the music box shop, so it is easily accessible.

I think it would be great to watch the movie 'Love Letter' before traveling to Otaru:)
