A fantastic retro cafe in Otaru ☕️ Kitaichi Glass Kitaichi Hall, still lit by oil lamps

I went to Otaru at the end of Golden Week, so this time I'll introduce you to a long-established cafe in Otaru😊

The first thing I noticed when I visited a cafe that used oil lamps was the unique smell‼︎‼︎‼︎

The smell of alcohol lamps used in science experiments is floating around! If you think of it as a part of the world view, it's a good thing, and when I think of the action of still lighting the fire every day, I feel relieved and warm, and I can't help but say thank you, so if you go to Otaru, I recommend taking a break here♪

🖼 Kitaichi Glass Kitaichi Hall

Kitaichi Glass is a Japanese company that mainly manufactures architectural and industrial glass.

The cafe run by Kitaichi Glass is a cafe hall that operates by the light of 167 oil lamps🤗🤗🤗

A cafe corner in Kitaichi Glass No. 3 Building, which uses a fishing warehouse built in the Meiji period‼ ︎When you step into the hall from the corridor where the rails that the cargo trolleys ran on when it was used as a warehouse still remain, the lights of the lamps flicker!

The hall is equipped with a famous Steinway piano,

and apparently live performances are held three times a day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, except on public holidays🙆♀️

When I went, the piano was playing🎹 and he and I were enchanted by the wonderful sound🥺

When it comes to coffee shops, cream sodas🥤 are only 630 yen, so they're easy on the wallet🥺 and very satisfying!
