[Hokkaido] A relaxing cafeteria with a spacious space lit by oil lamps ☕️🪔

This dimly lit hall is lit by the warm light of oil lamps 🕯This time we are introducing a cafe that you should definitely visit if you go to Otaru, Hokkaido, "Kitaichi Glass Kitaichi Hall". This cafe is located on Sakaimachi Hondori, a tourist street that you must walk along if you go to Otaru. Kitaichi Glass is a glasswork general store that was renovated from a brick warehouse, and part of the warehouse is the cafe ☕️There are 167 oil lamps here, and the staff lights them up every morning 🔥The work starts at 9am when the store opens, so if you go when it opens, you can see the fantastic space being created 👀 It can be used not only as a cafe but also as a restaurant, and serves dishes using ingredients from Hokkaido, which you can also have for lunch 🍽The recommended menu item at the cafe is Kitaichi Hall's popular "Special Royal Milk Tea", made by boiling tea leaves in Hokkaido milk, faithfully recreating an old recipe. The recommended lunch menu item is a seafood bowl set that comes with seafood and a local dish called Sanpei soup 🐟I had the special milk tea and the limited-edition pistachio Mont Blanc ☕︎Both were really delicious 😋This set is good value at 780 yen ✨If you're going this winter, I definitely recommend you try it! When you are sightseeing in Otaru, take a break here in a space surrounded by the warmth and warm light of oil lamps 🍵I've also introduced another hidden retro cafe in Otaru, so I hope you'll check it out as wellHidden Retro Cafe 👈📍Kitaichi Glass Kitaichi HallAddress: 7-26 Sakaimachi, Otaru, HokkaidoOpening hours: 9:00-17:30 Cafe order available time: 9:30-17:00 Lunch order available time: 11:00-14:50Cost: Cafe 800 yen (drink + sweets set) Lunch 2000 yen (drink set)Recommended: You can also drink local beer and local wine! ⚠Caution: There may be quite a line on weekends...
