Hotels with a view of "Otaru Sunrise"!

"Grids Premium Hotel Otaru" is a modern hotel that offers a unique experience. Since my stay coincided with my birthday, the staff kindly upgraded our room for free. The upgraded room was on a high floor with large glass windows, providing a stunning view of Ishikari Bay.

💥 During this stay, I made an incredible discovery! 💥
In Hokkaido, the daylight starts at around 2:00 AM, and the sunrise occurs at 3:58 AM.

🌞 On this morning, I was awakened by sunlight at 3:45 AM. Feeling unexpectedly surprised, I took a moment to enjoy the quiet before watching the sun slowly rise above the horizon from the large windows in my room. It was truly magnificent.

🌞 By the time the sun was high in the sky, I checked my watch and realized it was only 4:30 AM! This breathtaking half-hour sunrise experience completely woke me up, but it made for a very memorable day.

🔵 The hotel also features an onsen on the top floor, including an open-air bath where guests can relax while enjoying the scenic view of Ishikari Bay. As for breakfast, there was a delightful surprise—Hokkaido hotels are known for offering DIY seafood bowls, and this hotel was no exception! It was truly exciting.

🟠 The hotel's location is excellent, situated on "Chuo-dori." Walking along the road towards the canal, you'll find many unique buildings, such as Otaru Denuki Koji, the old Temiya Line, and Otaru Bank. All are within walking distance, making it very convenient and highly recommended.

💰 Average cost: $400+/person, including a sumptuous seafood buffet breakfast.
