THE CALENDAR is a restaurant located inside the Otsu Station building in Shiga.

I had lunch at this local restaurant that serves dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients.

The restaurant is self-service.
First you secure a seat, then proceed to the register to order.

To eat, you're given a vibrating device that vibrates and when it responds, you head to the serving counter.

All lunch menus come with a drink bar.

The dining area is spacious and open, with plenty of seating.
I recommend self-service restaurants because they offer more freedom than cramped spaces and allow you to feel at ease.

The outdoor terrace can also be used as an empty-handed barbecue or beer garden!
I think it would also be convenient to use as a cafe.
