While the Paju Suspension Bridge is often associated with Gamaksan Mountain, Gamaksan Mountain, located in Geochang, Gyeongsangnam-do, is also emerging as a unique #FallTravel destination. The purple aster chrysanthemum fields on Byeolbaram Hill, located 900 meters above sea level, are a true hidden gem of the autumn mountains. The relatively easy access to the summit by car makes it a great destination for even those unfamiliar with hiking.
Under a clear autumn sky, the waves of purple aster chrysanthemums, set against the backdrop of the golden-hued terraced fields, boast a breathtaking display of color. The harmony of the blue sky, majestic wind turbines, and fields of chrysanthemums turning crimson creates an exotic and fantastical atmosphere, reminiscent of a European highland. As the crimson sunset dipped beyond the mountains, I was able to capture the enchanting moment when the crimson hues of the aster chrysanthemums deepened even further.
