Thailand | Khao Yai: Stepping into the Tuscan Sun! 🇮🇹🌳

#summervacay
This March, I revisited Khao Yai with my parents. This time, we stayed at an Italian-style manor hotel that strongly resembled Tuscany, offering a brief escape from Thailand's intense heat.

Hotel Experience: Movenpick Resort Khao Yai

Hotel Name: Movenpick Resort Khao Yai

Booking and Price: You can find it by searching for the same name on Google Maps. We traveled in March, and the average price for a family room (accommodating 3 people, including breakfast) was around 1100 RMB (approximately S$200-210).

Room and Facilities: The rooms were very spacious overall, though the bathroom facilities looked a bit dated. However, the hotel's overall landscape truly captured an Italian feel. The restaurant had a fantastic view, and there were two large trees with swings, which compensated for the older bathroom amenities.

Khao Yai: Thailand's "Royal Backyard"

I used to be based in Thailand for nearly two years for work, which coincided with the Covid-19 pandemic. During long holidays back then, I loved to rent a car and drive myself around. Car rentals in Thailand are relatively affordable, and most rental companies include scratch and minor accident insurance in their quotes, so I could drive with peace of mind. I didn't have to worry about potential charges for minor bumps or cleaning fees if the car got dirty on muddy mountain roads.

Khao Yai was a place my local colleagues strongly recommended, as they themselves loved taking their families there for trips. Khao Yai is often called "Thailand's Royal Backyard," which speaks volumes about its beauty and popularity. Bringing my parents this time, they also got to experience its unique charm.
