Wild Coast Tented Lodge is a luxury resort under the Relais & Châteaux brand located in southern Sri Lanka, adjacent to the famous Yala National Park. The hotel's design is inspired by the pebbled shapes of Sri Lanka's southern coastline, with a unique dome tent structure that blends perfectly into the natural environment.
The hotel's tent-style cabins are its signature feature. Rising above the tree canopy, each cabin features an opal-colored canvas exterior and glass walls at the back, opening onto a private wooden terrace overlooking a nearby water feature.
This is a great place for those who are interested in wildlife but don't want to go the wild route. After a day of safari, this is a great place to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink.
This Relais & Châteaux resort successfully combines the luxury of the African savannah with the wildness of the Yala National Park; it is romantic, antique and nestled between the rugged coast and the lush park. The resort’s architecture is also designed in the shape of a leopard’s paw, a nod to the most famous leopard sightings in Yala Park (the park has one of the highest leopard densities in the world).
