Paris, majesty and romance beneath the Arc de Triomphe

When I first encountered the Arc de Triomphe, I was momentarily speechless at its grandeur. The center of Paris, where history, art, and romance meet. The Arc de Triomphe, which appeared before my eyes at the end of the Champs-Élysées, was not just a building, but felt like the pride of France.

When I climbed the stairs to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, the whole of Paris unfolded like a 360-degree panorama. The red roofs, the neat streets, and the Eiffel Tower rising quietly beyond them… I stood silently for a moment in the open view and felt the wind. I immediately understood why this place was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris.

At night, the Arc de Triomphe, lit up, creates a different atmosphere. It blends in with the lights of the cars passing by below, making it look like a giant sculpture in the middle of the city. In particular, the flame burning in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was much more impressive than I thought. Watching the flame that never goes out every day, I could feel how this city remembers its past.

The Arc de Triomphe is not just a ‘thing to see’, but a place where the time and spirit of Paris are melted into. Walking under it, I felt a little closer to Paris.
