Paris, the city where romance is everyday life

#July Travel Support Fund

Paris was exactly as I imagined, and even more. Every alley had a different view, and each building had a hidden story. Just walking around with a baguette made me feel like I was the main character in a movie. Paris was a city that awakened all my senses.

The first day started at the Eiffel Tower. The steel-framed tower, seen from the Champ de Mars park, was much more magnificent and delicate than it looked in the photo. As night fell, the lights came on, and the sparkle that started at the exact hour transformed the entire city into something magical. People quietly held their breath and enjoyed the moment together.

A whole day at the Louvre Museum was not enough. The area in front of the Mona Lisa was crowded, but the wide hallways were filled with a quiet emotion. The Orsay Museum was especially beautiful, and the combination of Impressionist works and natural light softened my heart.

Street painters painted portraits on the hill of Montmartre, and the alley behind the Sacré-Cœur Basilica felt like a time travel. Even just drinking coffee at a cafe and blankly looking at the street is a special experience in Paris.

When walking along the Seine or walking along the Champs-Élysées, I felt like I wanted to ‘live’ rather than ‘travel’. Paris was a city that became special just by staying there.
