As soon as I arrived in Paris, I felt that this was not a place to ‘see’ but a place to ‘feel’. Every street, every cafe table, and even every streetlight felt like a movie.
The Eiffel Tower was more enchanting at night than during the day. When I was lying on the lawn of the Champ de Mars Park and the lights started to twinkle, everyone simultaneously exclaimed in amazement. I think those short 5 minutes will remain in my memory for the rest of my life.
The Louvre Museum was really big and deep. I liked walking alone in the quiet corridors more than seeing famous works. The view of Paris through the clock window of the Musée d’Orsay was literally ‘a painting’.
Paris, seen from the Montmartre hill while feeling the wind, seemed to come alive on a single canvas with the red roofs, the Seine River, and the Eiffel Tower in the distance.
Paris is a city where you don’t have to do anything. Just walking, seeing, resting, and feeling is enough. So on the day I left, my heart felt a little heavy for no reason.
