In front of Kuibi Mountain, on the northern edge of Penghu, lies a breathtaking natural wonder: the Parting of the Sea by Moses.
When the tide recedes, a gravel path stretching hundreds of meters appears in the center of the ocean, resembling a split in the ocean, connecting the mainland island with Chiyu Island.
Walking along the path, the waters split on either side, waves crashing, yet beneath your feet lies a solid gravel path. This wonder, named after the biblical story of Moses parting the sea, is as sacred and magnificent as the scene of Moses parting the sea. At sunset, the path shimmers golden, intertwining with the clouds on the horizon, creating one of Penghu's most dreamy scenes.
Beyond its magnificent visual impact, the Parting of the Sea by Moses also serves as a reminder that the power of nature lies in the shifting tides. Only at the right moment can this "path to the center of the sea" be seen. Therefore, it is crucial to observe tide charts to safely experience this wonder.
The Parting of the Sea by Moses at Kuibi Mountain is a journey of dialogue with the ocean. When you walk on that stone path, you feel connected to heaven and earth, and become one with the natural wonders of Penghu.
