The first ancient town in western Sichuan - Haiwozi

Haiwozi has a very long history. According to legend, in the ancient time of Cancong, this place was called Qushang, which was the capital of the ancient Shu Kingdom. Three generations of ancient Shu kings, Cancong, Baiguan and Yufu, lived in this riverside town for thousands of years. History: Like other ancient towns, Shanghai Wozi Ancient Town has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. According to records, the last reconstruction was in the 55th year of Qianlong (1790 AD). The 2008 Wenchuan earthquake also caused serious damage to Haiwozi, a severely affected area. Most of the houses in the ancient town were severely damaged. It was not until the eve of May Day in 2011 that the town was reopened after three years of reconstruction.
