During my Malaysia trip, I discovered a hidden gem for dinner—Cha Inn Cafe. The cozy and charming atmosphere instantly set the perfect mood for an evening meal. Warm lighting, earthy tones, and thoughtful decor created a relaxing environment, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a long day.
For dinner, I tried the Cheese Hambagu Ochazuke, and it was truly an experience to savor. The dish featured steamed Japanese rice topped with a juicy, flavorful cheese hambagu (hamburger patty) paired with a teapot of aromatic dashi broth. What made it unique was the “three ways of eating” method suggested by the cafe. I started with just the rice and hambagu to enjoy the core flavors, then poured the dashi broth over the rice for a soupy twist. Finally, adding the toppings created a perfect balance of textures and tastes.
The side dishes, including pickled vegetables and a soft-boiled egg, complemented the main dish beautifully, enhancing the overall dining experience. Every bite was comforting and packed with flavor.
