Phu Khao Thong Temple, Ayutthaya

#TempleTour #100WaysToTravel “Wat Phu Khao Thong” in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province was built in 2112 by King Bayinnaung of Hongsawadi. It is similar to the Mon-Burmese style. It is assumed that it was built for victory, but only the foundation was built and then lifted back. In the testimony book, it is said that this temple was built during the reign of King Ramesuan in 1930. When King Naresuan the Great regained independence in 2127, he ordered the construction of a Thai-style pagoda on a Mon-Burmese base. Phu Khao Thong pagoda therefore has a mix of two architectural styles. #travel #Ayutthaya
