Wat Worachettharam: an important temple of Ayutthaya

Wat Worachettharam is located in the Ayutthaya Historical Park. It is an ancient temple with historical and architectural significance. It was built during the reign of King Ekathotsarot to dedicate merit to King Naresuan the Great after he died in the war at Muang Hang. The temple’s distinctive features are the large bell-shaped main pagoda that still remains for visitors to see, as well as the ruins of various ancient sites that reflect its past glory.
