Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan

Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan is one of the oldest and most important temples in Ayutthaya. It is renowned throughout the country, particularly among Chinese tourists and ethnic Chinese.

Magnificence: The temple's centerpiece is the Phra Buddha Trairattanayok, commonly known as Luang Pho To and known to the Chinese as Chao Pho Sam Po Kong.

Size: This stucco Buddha image, in the Mara Vijaya posture, is the largest in Ayutthaya, measuring over 14 meters across and 19 meters tall.

Feeling: Upon entering the viharn, one is immediately struck by the sacredness and grandeur of the Buddha image. The illuminated golden Buddha images enshrined throughout the viharn inspire deep devotion and awe in visitors.

Prayers: People often come here to pray for safety, increased charisma, and prosperity.
