Take a walk along the historical trail at “Wat Phra Si Sanphet”

If you enjoy exploring ancient sites and experiencing the atmosphere and mystical atmosphere of the past, Wat Phra Si Sanphet is a must-see. Walking into the temple grounds, you'll feel as if you've traveled back in time to the Ayutthaya period.

The first thing you'll notice are the three large, beautifully lined chedis, symbols of the temple. Each chedi contains the relics of Ayutthaya kings. When you approach it and look up, it's both magnificent and awe-inspiring. Even after hundreds of years, it still looks truly magnificent.

Walking around, you'll also find numerous ancient ruins, including temple walls, the remains of small chedis, and the foundations of old temples. In some corners, large trees interspersed with brick ruins, it's like something out of a movie. The atmosphere is quite peaceful, even with the large number of tourists, you can still feel the sacredness.

What impressed me most was the explanatory signs at various points, which helped me understand its history. Wat Phra Si Sanphet was once a royal temple within the Old Palace, and there were no monks residing there. But it was used as a temple for important royal ceremonies in Ayutthaya.

✨ Personal Experience:
Walking here is like reminiscing about the glory of Ayutthaya. Every step you take is truly a journey through history. If you're looking to visit, I recommend coming in the late afternoon when the sky is soft and the light reflecting off the chedi is stunning. You'll get tons of great photos to take home.
