Traveling from Bangkok to Ayutthaya by train offers the most local and atmospheric experience. Enjoy the leisurely scenery outside the window as you reach the UNESCO World Heritage city in about 1.5 to 2 hours.

First, take the MRT (subway) to "Hua Lamphong" station and head to the State Railway ticket counter inside the station. At the counter, you can purchase a ticket to "Ayutthaya" by simply saying, "One ticket to Ayutthaya, please."
The fare is around 15–20 baht (approximately $0.50) for a 3rd-class seat and **65–90 baht (approximately $2.50)** for a 2nd-class seat. Choosing a train with reserved seating ensures a more comfortable journey.
🚆 Onboard and Upon Arrival
