Mahatha Temple

Wat Mahathat is one of the earliest Khmer pagodas built in Ayutthaya. There are 198 pagodas in total. The main pagoda has collapsed, and only the supporting stone pillars remain in the hall.
The "Buddha in the Tree" in front of the temple is the most popular among tourists📸. The locals regard this Buddha head as a sacred object.
