Wat Mahathat | Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

🙏 Wat Mahathat is an ancient site within the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical Park. It is an important old temple from the Ayutthaya period. According to history, it was built during the reign of King Borommarachathirat I. It was also a venue for various royal ceremonies of Ayutthaya. Today, only ruins remain, reflecting the past glory.
🙏 Wat Mahathat is located in the middle of the city. The temple houses many ancient structures, including the main chedi, vihara, and mondop.
