DIY tie-dye fabric at Ban Mat Jai, Phrae Province

This trip, I had the opportunity to attend a tie-dye workshop at Baan Mat Jai in Phrae Province. It was even better than I expected. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, like visiting relatives in the countryside. The owner was lovely and kind, and she taught me in detail, even holding my hand.

I chose to make a tie-dye headscarf. It was so much fun! I was so excited to see the pattern I was going to create. The dyes used are natural dyes from leaves and bark, and they're safe and odorless. And when I finally carved out the design, I was like, "Wow, that was so wonderful!" It's so unique and charming.

They have so many different styles to choose from, from scarves, handkerchiefs, shirts, and more. It's perfect for those who want to try slow-paced crafts and truly immerse themselves in the local way of life.
