Wat Phongsunan

Wat Phongsunan, Phrae Province
This ancient temple has been beautifully restored and is one of the city's most important tourist attractions. Highlights of the temple include the large, resplendent golden reclining Buddha, clearly visible from the outside, the auspicious 19-spired archway, and the magnificent 108-spired glass chedi. Other highlights include the Phra Chao Saen Suk, a Buddha image over 500 years old, and the Phra Chao Tan Jai, a popular place for people to pray for blessings.
