When you can jump into pool and off to the ocean !

So, last week of Summer Break, before school starts, we flew to an island in Vietnam, called the Phu Quoc Island. It’s pretty “new” not only to tourist but also for the Vietnamese in mainland Vietnam, and it’s definitely underrated.

There are 2 ways ✈️ to Phu Quoc Island.

Option 1 is direct flight operated by Viet Jet Air on certain days of the week, only one flight schedule in the evening (arriving ard 8pm) and returning in early morning. With direct flight, visa is not required for HK passport holders but you kinda lose the first and last day.

We opted for the second choice, which is early morning flight with CX to Ho Chi Min then connecting at domestic with Vietnam Airline to Phu Quoc. This way, visa is required. BUT, we arrived by 3pm. Departing in the afternoon from Phu Quoc - Viet Airline to Ho Chi Min - CX to Hong Kong.

We booked the beachfront villa of Movenpick Villa and Residence for this trip. And it is the best we’ve been so far. 3 bedrooms all with bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, dining area, private pool with sun chairs and cushions, just few steps away from the beach. Kids love the pool ! We spent hours at the pool, every day.

Hotel’s breakfast has variety of food options and with good quality. In room dining charge at reasonable price and tasty. There’s free chocolate during the chocolate time (3-4pm daily) for everyone at the lobby lounge. There are plenty of facilities such as gym centre (5am to 10pm), kids club activities, spa and salon, hotel activities for adults but we were caught up with our private pool and beach at the villa.
