Free desserts and a secluded beach: Movenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc

The five-star Movenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc is located on Ong Lang Beach, known for its cleanliness and tranquility. Here are the pros and cons of the hotel:

Pros:

💚 Clean and spacious rooms equipped with all essentials. We were provided with toiletries, slippers, branded beach bags, water, coffee capsules, and tea.

💚 Stylish design.

💚 A diverse breakfast menu featuring pan-Asian cuisine (Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese). Plenty of fresh fruits (I enjoyed watermelon, pineapple, passion fruit, longan, and rambutan) and high-quality coffee.

💚 Every day from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, a "chocolate hour" is organized near the reception, offering a chocolate fountain and desserts—completely free!

💚 The beach is clean and uncrowded. There were times when I swam in the sea all by myself! However, there were no umbrellas by the loungers, which was disappointing.

💚 The hotel is located far from the center. While this might be considered a downside, it meant fewer tourists at the hotel (which I personally prefer!). Additionally, "buggies" run every 30 minutes from the reception to a bus stop, where I could take buses 17 or 19 to reach the night market, safari, and many other places for free.

Cons:

❌ Occasionally, there was an unpleasant smell on the premises. A nearby landfill caused the odor to appear or disappear depending on the wind direction.

❌ High prices (by Vietnamese standards) for lunches, dinners, and drinks.

❌ As mentioned earlier, there were no umbrellas on the beach except in the "private" area reserved for villa guests. However, the pool area was well-equipped.

Overall, I recommend the hotel. The positive aspects far outweigh the negatives. It's a place where you can enjoy a luxurious vacation!
