The Sang Tham Shrine, Phuket

The 'Am Teng Kong' or 'Sang Tham Shrine' is the oldest shrine in Phuket, built in 1891 by Luang Amnat Nararak (Tan Kuat). The shrine was established to house the deities Ong Sun Tai Sai and Tan Seng Ong, deities of the Tan clan, brought from China. It serves as a place for making merit and gathering relatives and friends of the Tan clan.

Inside the shrine, there are dragon-shaped stucco roofs, Chinese dolls, and paintings of the legend of Xi Ying Gui. People often come here to pray for solutions to their business problems.
