Steps to Serenity

Wat Chalong, also known as Wat Chaiyathararam, is the largest and most important Buddhist temple in Phuket. Founded in 1837, it honours two highly respected monks, Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, who played a vital role during the 1876 Chinese rebellion. • Local Songthaew (Bus): A budget-friendly method, though it might involve switching routes.


Best Days: Try to go on weekdays to avoid larger weekend crowds.

• Best Time: Head there early in the morning (around 7 AM) or later in the afternoon (after 4 PM) for a quieter, more peaceful visit.
