I booked three pool-access rooms at the Marin Phuket for a family of six, expecting a relaxing stay with direct pool access as advertised. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what was promised. All three rooms faced a wall, which felt claustrophobic and blocked any view. The so-called “pool” was more like a small backyard pond, nothing like the inviting pool access we expected based on the hotel’s description.
The discrepancy between the booking details and what we got was disappointing, especially for a family trip where we were looking forward to a special experience. The staff were polite but couldn’t resolve the issue, as no other pool-access rooms were available. For the price we paid, this felt like a bait-and-switch. I’d recommend future guests confirm the exact room and pool details before booking to avoid similar letdowns.
