Patong in Phuket: Delicious and Affordable

Even though we stayed in a location between Patong and Kalim beaches, where there aren't many cafes, we still managed to dine at a new place every day. One day, we decided to have lunch at Sunset Villa, a seaside villa with a cafe of the same name.

📍Patong, Phuket, Thailand

The cafe doesn't have a traditional indoor space with walls and a roof. All tables are set outdoors, with only a straw roof for cover.

📖 I love menus with pictures! And this one was just that. The dishes in the pictures perfectly matched what was served.

🍲 First, we tried Fried Rice in Pineapple with Shrimp. The pineapple contained fried rice with shallots, garlic, egg, and chicken. There were also chunks of pineapple.

🍢 Next, we were served Shrimp Cakes. These were rings resembling shrimp patties. In addition to shrimp, the dish included onions. It was served with a sweet and sour sauce and a green salad.

🍔 My child ordered a Beef Burger. Almost everywhere here serves burgers with French fries, and the fries here were genuinely tasty—not dry at all.

🥗 Another dish we tried was Chicken Nuts. Tender chicken fillet (where do they get such quality?) was stir-fried with vegetables—three-colored bell peppers, carrots, and onions. The cashews were also fried. All the ingredients were mixed and topped with a sweet sauce.

Delicious, visually appealing, and affordable.
