Zhangzhou | Visit the ethereal Lingtong Rock Temple

Lingtong Rock Temple in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou, is one of the three major hanging temples in Fujian Province. It has a more ethereal atmosphere than the others. Casual visitors can come at any time, but photographers should check the weather forecast first. I recommend visiting after a heavy downpour or on a clear day. After a heavy downpour, magnificent waterfalls cascade down from the mountaintop… Unfortunately, I didn't encounter any heavy rain this time, and the waterfall wasn't as impressive as I'd imagined. I'll save that for my next visit!
Here's a simple guide for those who want to take photos or visit:
📍Lingtong Mountain Scenic Area, Pinghe County, Zhangzhou City
🎫Tickets: CNY 20, parking fee on the mountainside: CNY 10
🚄Take the high-speed train to Yunxiao Station or Zhangzhou Station. I recommend renting a car and driving to the scenic area. It takes 3–4 hrs to get to the scenic area from Shenzhen. There are two parking lots halfway up the mountain. You can park in either one. The climb takes about 30 mins to 1 hr, depending on your fitness level.
